USC’s First Ever: Welcome Back Wellness Fair

Large campus involvement fairs can feel overwhelming for students looking to join groups. With hundreds of organizations tabling, it's difficult to connect with wellness-focused groups specifically. College is a time when implementing and maintaining balance is so important. The Welcome Back Wellness Fair strategically brought wellness-oriented student organizations together into one engaging and welcoming event. By centralizing relevant clubs into a themed fair, students could easily explore spiritual, mental, physical and sexual health resources at USC. This curated experience helped students find communities supporting their wellbeing.

As the Vice President of Wellness at USC Hillel, I was thrilled to leverage my live event experience to organize the first-ever Welcome Back Wellness Fair on campus. Bringing together over 20 student organizations, I provided a vibrant space in the central quad where 2000+ students explored holistic wellness. From academic to spiritual, physical to sexual health, I spotlighted the many dimensions of well-being critical for college life. Working closely with student government and health services, I handled elements of logistics, user experience, marketing, outreach and set the stage for future fairs. The event engaged students through giveaways, a wellness “passport” activity, and an energizing drum circle. Most meaningfully, it fostered a supportive community, welcoming students back while conveying that wellness at USC is open, helpful, and inclusive. This landmark fair aligned with my passion for creating impactful live experiences that empower students to thrive.

Strategic marketing was critical to driving awareness, engagement and ROI for the inaugural Wellness Fair. My integrated strategy spanned social media, print and brand partnerships. I led the creation of Instagram and Print graphics. Content emphasized community, self-care and holistic health.

The fair was a massive success and the team is excited for future iterations. In the meantime, check out news coverage of the inaugural Welcome Back Wellness Fair below!
